Hey, there, Reader!
“But I thought snacks were bad?”
I hear this one a lot.
When I talk about building a healthy eating routine, I often recommend one or two snacks a day—which can be a little surprising if you’ve spent years thinking snacking is something you’re supposed to avoid.
The kind of everyday snack I’m talking about is pretty simple:
🥚 Protein + produce. 🍓
Think high-protein yogurt + berries, cheese + an apple, hummus + veggies, or even deli meat + fruit (aka desk charcuterie, because we deserve a fancy pants afternoon break).
The goal isn’t to snack just for the sake of snacking. A well-planned snack can help you head into your next meal hungry, but not I WILL EAT EVERYTHING IN THIS KITCHEN hungry. 😂
I put together some of my favorite healthy snack ideas in this week’s Nutrition Tips.
